Blackbeards Smokehouse Ltd has issued a recall for a specific batch of their Blackbeards Smokehouse brand Smoked Mussels due to the possible presence of listeria. The recalled mussels have been sold at Farro Fresh stores across Auckland, Four Square Coromandel, Fresh Choice Papamoa, New World Albany, RAW at Waiheke Fresh Fruit and Vege Market, and Vetro Rotorua. The products are also sold online at Supie. No illnesses have been reported at this time.
The recalled products are:
- Blackbeards Smokehouse brand Smoked Mussels Chilli & Lime (210g), vacuum sealed plastic package, BATCH: 076/015, BEST BEFORE: 02/27/23
- Blackbeards Smokehouse brand Smoked Mussels Coromandel Gold (210g), vacuum sealed plastic package, BATCH: 076/015, BEST BEFORE: 02/27/23
- Blackbeards Smokehouse brand Smoked Mussels Garlic & Dill (210g), vacuum sealed plastic package, BATCH: 076/015, BEST BEFORE: 02/27/23
- Blackbeards Smokehouse brand Smoked Mussels Natural Smoked (210g), vacuum sealed plastic package, BATCH: 076/015, BEST BEFORE: 02/27/23
Customers are advised not to consume the mussels, and to return them to their retailer for a full refund.
