The recall classification has been updated by the USDA to Class I, indicating a situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death. Additionally, product descriptions were revised to remove the “RTE” (Ready-To-Eat) designation.

M.C.I. Foods, Inc. has initiated a voluntary recall of certain breakfast burritos due to potential contamination with Listeria Monocytogenes. The affected products were distributed to seven distributors nationwide in the United States. Product is not for retail sale and is intended for institutional use.

- Lot: 80860
- Product Quantity: 330 cases

2) PRODUCT: RTE Egg and Cheese Breakfast Burrito
- Size: 3.75 oz

- Lot: 80861; 80870; 80946; 80965
- Product Quantity: 1,040 cases across recalled products

3) PRODUCT: RTE Egg and Cheese Breakfast Wrap
- Size: 2.50 oz

The recall was initiated on October 16, 2025, after the cooked egg ingredient tested positive for Listeria Monocytogenes.
