Recall notice

New York, United States

Byrne Dairy, Inc. of Syracuse, New York is voluntarily recalling its Byrne Dairy Mighty Fine Chocolate Ice Cream in half-gallon cartons with a Last Date of Sale of 10/4/2024 because it may contain undeclared peanuts. People who have allergies to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the product. The product was distributed in retail stores throughout Upstate New York. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The product is packaged in ½ gallon cardboard containers printed with ‘Byrne Dairy Might Fine Chocolate Ice Cream’ with ‘Last Date of Sale: 10/4/2024’ printed on the side of the container. The recall involves no more than 250 half-gallon units.

The recall was initiated as a result of a consumer complaint that a product containing peanut butter was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of peanuts due to the mislabeling of the product. As a result of a manufacturing error, the Chocolate Ice Cream may also contain peanut butter. This recall is being made with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Consumers who have purchased the affected products are urged not to consume the product and return it to their place of purchase for a full refund.

Lucky charms cereal, Yuba City, CA, USA

2 weeks ago reported by user-rjnwk368

I ate two large bowls of Lucky Charms cereal before bed last night (about 4 cups of cereal in total). And got up about 5 hours later with major cramping, diarrhea and heartburn. Output was green. Cramping and mushy stooling still occuring 12 hours later. This is … See More
not the first time the Lucky Charms illness has struck. I’ve been suspicious of the cereal’s association to this affect in the past but didn’t feel certain until of the connection until today. I usually eat two bowls of cereal but my primary gotos are FrostedFlakes and FrostedMiniWheats. I eat the lucky charms from my kids’ supply when I don’t have my gotos available. My kids are little and only eat smaller portions. I’m done buying this stuff for them—something is up with the cereal’s ingredients. Why are they putting in something that causes this sort of GI response? #LuckyCharms  | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Heartburn

On Sunday, I ordered a chicken basket complete with fries and bread, got a slush to drink. Within minutes I felt queasy but chalked it up to anxiety. When I got home, I began having stomach cramps and explosive diarrhea. I thought maybe the slush just had … See More
too much sugar. The diarrhea stopped that night but continued to feel nauseous and feverish accompanied by slight stomach pain two days later. The chicken was fully cooked but I’m thinking of cross contamination. I actually had the same thing the day before and had no problems at all. I always liked this DQ because their food actually has a good taste unlike the other ones in the area, but I will not be returning. Was with family and they both got different things so I’m blaming the chicken now.  | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach Pain, Fever, Cramps
