Crazy Cuizine Chicken potstickers product - recalled due to Misbranding & allergen

2 years ago source fsis.usda.gov

California, United States

Day-Lee Foods Inc., a Santa Fe Springs, Calif., establishment, has issued a recall for approximately 10,511 pounds of frozen ready-to-eat chicken potsticker products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens on the product label. The product labeled as chicken potstickers may actually contain mandarin orange chicken, which contain milk and eggs, known allergens, that are not declared on the product label. This product was shipped to retail locations in California. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of this product.

The product involved in the recall is the "RESTAURANT QUALITY AT HOME Crazy Cuizine Chicken POTSTICKERS ASIAN STYLE GYOZA DUMPLINGS WITH DIPPING SAUCE". The 20-oz. box packages were produced on December 14, 2022 and have a "Use by" date of 12 14 2024. The recalled items bear the establishment number "P-17309" within the USDA mark of inspection.

The mislabeling incident came to light when a customer complaint indicated the purchase of a Chicken Potstickers box, which found to contain Mandarin Orange Chicken instead. The Mandarin Orange Chicken product contains milk and eggs potentially causing serious or life-threatening reactions if consumed by individuals with milk and egg allergies.

FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers' freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products and have an allergy to milk or eggs are urged not to consume them.
