Punahele Jerky Company, Inc. has issued a public health alert for its Dried Hawaiian Style Beef Crisps Original Salt & Pepper Flavor due to an undeclared soy allergen. The product was sold at Costco locations in Kona, Maui, Kauai, Hawaii Kai, Iwilei, Kapolei, and Waipio.The affected product is:
- Punahele Jerky Co. Beef Crisps
- A 6 oz. bag.
- It was available for purchase between February 17, 2025, and February 26, 2026.
The issue was identified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service. The alert was issued on March 2, 2026.
