France Smoked Trout - recalled due to Listeria

Ferme du Ciron has issued a recall for its Truite Fumée products due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. The products were distributed in the departments of Gergs, Gironde, Landes, and Lot-Et-Garonne in France.

The recall includes the following Truite Fumée products: sliced smoked trout 100g, sliced smoked trout 200g, smoked trout cubes 100g, smoked trout chiffonades 150g, and whole smoked trout fillet. The affected batches are FU240130 with a best before date of 30/01/2024, FU240223 with a best before date of 23/02/2024, and FU240227 with a best before date of 27/02/2024. The products are packaged in vacuum-sealed pouches and were sold between 10/01/2024 and 13/02/2024.

The issue was identified due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause listeriosis. The products were sold in producer stores and grocery stores. The recall was officially published on 15/02/2024.
