The CFIA announced the recall of Happy Veggie World brand Vege Chicken Breast and Vegefarm brand Vege Stewed Lamb Chunk by Global Vegetarian Foods because they may contain egg which is not declared on the label. There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these products.The recalled products are:
- Happy Veggie World Vege Chicken Breast, 4 pcs, UPC: 131218, all codes where egg is not declared on the label
- Vegefarm Vege Stewed lamb chunk, 3000 g, UPC: 4 713224 372285, all codes where egg is not declared on the label.
These products were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, possibly nationwide in Canada.
If you have an allergy to eggs do not eat them, they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. Please throw them away or returned them to the place of purchase.
