November 4th, 2025:
Made Fresh Salads Inc., based in Bay Shore, NY, is recalling its Macaroni Salad and Tuna Deluxe Salad due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. These products were distributed statewide in retail stores in New York.
AFFECTED PRODUCTS:
PRODUCT: LO-BOY FOODS – Tuna Deluxe
- Package: 5 lb white plastic tubs
- Sell by date: 10/20/25
- Product Quantity: 60 lbs of tuna salad
PRODUCT: LO-BOY FOODS – Macaroni Salad
- Package: 5 lb white plastic tubs
- Sell by date: 10/20/25
- Product Quantity: 100 lbs of macaroni salad
The issue was identified following testing by the New York Department of Agriculture and Market Food Inspectors. The recall was initiated after Listeria was detected in some 5-pound containers. Production has been halted pending further investigation.
