YY Dumplings & Fu Yuan Pig products recalled due to undeclared allergens

YY Dumplings & Fu Yuan is recalling various ready-to-eat meat products due to undeclared allergens (gluten, sesame, and wheat) in the products. The products are sold at various ethnic grocery stores throughout Auckland.The recalled products are Braised Pig Trotters (500g), Braised Pig Head Meat (350g), Spicy Pork Ears (180g), and Sour and Spicy Chicken Feet (300g). All products have a best-before date of 29/04/2024 and are sold in vacuum-sealed plastic. The products are sold under the YY Dumplings brand, the Fu Yuan brand, or both brands. This recall does not affect any other YY Dumplings Ltd products.
The products are sold at the following stores:
- Da Hua Supermarket, Albany Mega Centre, Albany
- D.H. Supermarket, 312 Ti Rakau, East Tāmaki
- Golden Apple Supermarket, 193 Universal Drive, Henderson
- Golden Apple Supermarket, 231 Archers Road, Wairau Valley
- Smart Supermarket, 41 Widmore Drive, Massey
- Smart Supermarket, 451 Ti Rakau Drive, Huntington Park.
Customers are asked to check the date mark on the product. People with a gluten, sesame, or wheat allergy or intolerance should not consume these products and return the products to their retailer for a full refund. If you are not allergic or intolerant to gluten, sesame or wheat, this recall does not affect you.
