Ordered a Beyond meat burger combo with fries and a diet root beer on October 4th, 2021 roughly around 3:50 pm on the University of Alberta campus. I only ate the burger and had about a third of the drink, but didn’t touch the fries. Around 8pm on the same day, I started feeling very nauseous and unwell, eventually I felt the urge to throw up so I rushed to one of the campus washrooms. For the next hour I was constantly vomiting, which then progressed to vomit and also diarrhea. I had a fever, I was sweating, I was completely disoriented and couldn’t stand on my two feet. I had to call my family to come pick me up and drive my car home as the hospitals here are completely full with covid cases. As I write this, it has been 24 hours and I’m just now able to keep a sip of water down after having to get antibiotics as the food poisoning was not settling on its own. I am a student and am swamped with midterms during this month, and this has definitely impacted both my health and my education as I will not be able to write my exams this week. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever, Sweating
