Frozen Fish Fiasco - Adonis, Mississauga Ontario

Today, Bad fish On July 23rd, 2022 I purchased two frozen Bass fish. Please check the photo. I followed the thawing procedure and kept thawing it at a fridge of 3 Celsius for the whole night till the afternoon of July 24th and pulled it out under a cold water stream for 5 minutes. Started to smell a slightly rotten fish. I thought it was a high sensitivity of mine. Never thought that those two fish were bad before being sold frozen!! I baked it at 350 degrees and started to eat of it and it tasted the worst taste and smell ever. I never dreamt of eating rotten fish. Luckily until now I'm just feeling the silly nausea and my family felt it as well. Glad that we didn't eat more than bite each. Ended up taking the fish in a pan to the store and spoke to Samer, the manager whom every one was hiding him from me. The manager said that it smells rotten but it is not their fault. "This fish comes frozen from the supplier and we sell it as is" simply he was trained well to wash his employer's hands of selling bad food or in other words borne.
The manager didn't try to fix the situation. He just let me leave with the bad fish in my hand and left back to the manager's office where he was.
I believe that the Canadian government and the Ontario Public Health would do something with that.
Meanwhile I will report it to www.iwaspoisoned.com and to Ontario Food Safety to prevent this to happen to anyone afterwards. In addition we will monitor to see if our condition gets worst. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting
