Movie Popcorn Upset Stomach - AMC THEATER, Creve Coeur Missouri

It's been a couple years ago but would still likely be true today. I use to go to the movie theater every other week. One of my favorite things was eating a small bag of popcorn with butter flavor, soda, and a hot dog.
Right after the movie would end, I would start to have an upset stomach. By the time I got home, I had diarrhea off and on for about a day and a half.
So the next trip I eliminated the butter flavor. Smae result, just not as severe. I've always been able to eat popcorn at the movies until just a few years ago. I've talked to others who have told me they too could eat the popcorn - until a few years ago,
I believe the main culprit is when the Theater changed from popping their corn with genuine canola oil to using a (probably less expensive) dehydrated (?) type coconut oil. And the butter flavored oil is just another variation of this. And it's not just AMC. I tried the popcorn with no butter flavor at anothe local movie chain, same result.
Too bad someone there is not aware of this. . | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach Pain
