Chicken Al Pastor Illness - Chipotle Mexican Grill, San Diego California

1 year ago reported by user-hjfk8541 business

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Rancho Carmel Drive, San Diego, CA, USA

11134 Rancho Carmel Drive, San Diego, 92128 California, United States

Food Poisoning there on 03/17/2023. We ordered 3 chicken bowls for an early dinner because we had skipped lunch due to busy schedule. Two bowls had the regular chicken with white rice, no health issue afterwards. My husband was the only one who tried the new "special" Chicken Al Pastor bowl with brown rice...In the middle of the night he became very ill. If he was not vomiting, he had diarrhea. The first 3 days he could not leave the house and barely slept because he was constantly in the bathroom, practically living with his head in the toilet it was so intense (non-stop vomiting, nausea, intense stomach cramps, fatigue, lethargy, pale, dehydration). It took another 5-7 days before he felt like he had recovered. I notified the General Manager on 03/18/2023, she was empathetic saying she was sorry and would look into daily records from previous shift to identify any issues. She also filed an incident report with Corporate, telling me they would reach out to us within 1-2 days. We received 1 phone call from an Incident Resolution Specialist which went to voicemail. I literally called back at least 5 times trying to discuss the issue and what steps they took..."crickets" never heard back from them. Now, I am looking online and seeing so many food illness claims about their stores across many states in 2023. We were loyal customers BUT NOT ANYMORE, we will never eat at your business again. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Dehydration, Fatigue, Other
