Sofritas Trigger Severe Illness - Chipotle Mexican Grill, Chicago Illinois

3 years ago reported by user-qdvpk214 business

Chipotle Mexican Grill, West North Avenue, Chicago, IL, USA

210 West North Avenue, Chicago, 60610 Illinois, United States

I ordered a burrito bowl while visiting some friends, who also got bowls/tacos with most of the same ingredients as me- except I got sofritas. I took a few bites and immediately knew something was wrong, it tasted a little potent right off the bat, so I stopped eating it pretty after a little bit. We watched a movie, and during, I started to feel a burning pain in my stomach, sort of like hunger, but that kind of hunger that makes you nauseous. After the movie was over I went to bed with my boyfriend, and ten minutes later, I puked. This was at 11:50, having eaten at 8-ish. I was up for the rest of the night, I puked 10 times, and had four or five bouts of diarrhea, often at the same time as I vomited. I was completely unable to keep anything down, including water, for the entirety of the day after. I’m seriously emetephobic (fear of vomiting) so not only was this experience physically taxing on my body, but traumatic mentally, and I was unable to eat for three days after without breaking down in some capacity. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting
