I got a Large Royal Reese's Brownie Blizzard. The peanut butter in the middle was extremely runny. I'm not sure if it sat out too long or what. I got home and 10 minutes later I was cramping and felt naustious. 6 am I woke up with bad diarrhea and puking. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Cramps

Peanut butter is not a potentially hazardous food. It has a very low water activity of only .7 so bacterial cannot grow, even if left out. Additionally, even foodborne illnesses with the fastest incubation periods take an hour or more to make you start exhibiting symptoms so it is pretty unlikely that DQ got you sick. Did you eat anywhere else before DQ?

Safeway Fresh Foods of Vineland, NJ, is recalling its 32-oz. Diced Organic Butternut Squash product as it has the potential to be contaminated with Escherichia coli O45. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem. The 32-oz. diced Butternut was distributed only to... See More Costco in the following states, Washington DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virgina.

E. coli O45 causes a diarrheal illness often with bloody stools. Although most healthy adults can recover completely within a week, some people develop a form of kidney failure called Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). HUS is most likely to occur in young children and the elderly; the condition can lead to serious kidney damage and even death.

Consumers who specifically purchased Costco item 20522, UPC 040232244124, 32-oz. diced Organic Butternut Squash between September 7, 2023, and September 15, 2023, with a use by date of 09/19/2023 date code are urged to return this item to your local Costco. If you have any product with this date code remaining, do not consume.

The potential for contamination was noted after routine testing by the company detected the presence of E. coli O45.

In case you are experiencing E. coli symptoms, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.

Kraft Heinz is announcing a voluntary recall of approximately 83,800 cases of individually-wrapped Kraft Singles American processed cheese slices that were shipped to a limited number of customers. The voluntary recall comes as a precaution after a temporary issue developed on one of our wrapping machines, making... See More it possible that a thin strip of the individual film may remain on the slice after the wrapper has been removed. If the film sticks to the slice and is not removed, it could be unpleasant and potentially cause a gagging or choking hazard. No injuries or serious health issues have been reported.

Products included in the recall include 16 oz. Kraft Singles American Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product with an individual package UPC of 0 2100061526 1 and a “Best When Used By” date of 10 JAN 24 through 27 JAN 24. Individual packages in this recall will contain an S and 72 in the Manufacturing code. Only Kraft Singles American processed cheese slices with the case/package information mentioned above. No other varieties or sizes are included in the recall.

The issue was discovered after we received several consumer complaints about finding the plastic stuck to a slice, including six complaints of consumers saying they choked or gagged in connection with the issue. Kraft Heinz has fixed the machine that wrapped the affected slices and all other processing machines have been inspected. Consumers who purchased these items should not consume them and can return them to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or refund.

Company name: Kraft Heinz
Brand name: Kraft
Product recalled: American Processed Cheese Slices
Reason of the recall: Packaging defect causes potential for film to remain adhered to the cheese slice after the wrapper has been removed.
