Trout Meal Causes Illness - Houston's, Irvine California

I have never been food poisoned in my life before last night. On New Year’s Eve, Dec 31, 2017 I went to Houston’s restaurant. Known for being part of the prestigious Hillstone Group restaurants, I trusted this place as being very high quality. I was wrong. I split the Hamachi salad with someone else and we each ordered the Grilled Trout with broccoli. The other person did not get sick at all, but a few hours later (we began our meal at 6:30pm and ended it around 7:15pm) at like 10pm I began to feel a little nauseous. I was tired so I was able to go to sleep. I woke up at 2:30 am (on New Years’ day), and felt very nauseous, like I had to puke. A few minutes later, I vommitted very violently. All or most of the trout came out. Then I began feeling symptoms of sweats, chills, body aches, and constant nausea. As I go through my New Years’ Day on 2018, I am extremely saddened by the lack of either sanitation or quality of the food. Very weird that the person with me did not get sick at all as we both split the salad and eachhad our own Trout. Maybe my piece was contaminated. Either way, I am extremely sick and have sharp pains in my stomach and my entire stomach is swollen and hurting. I also have a terrible headache. I will never eat at a Hillstone Group restaurant ever again and I am very worried for those who attempt to do so after reading this. I have not moved off of my couch yet today and can barely eat a piece of bread. If anyone from Houston’s is reading this: please encourage management to adopt better safety features.
