Coffee Recall Refund Struggle - Kroger, Bowling Green Kentucky

I attempted to return Aloha Iced Coffee that is under a recall to this store where I bought it. The store denied any knowledge that the product was under recall and I had to wait for about 30 minutes while they searched the aisles for the product. I took my receipt and left over product and documentation of the recall but it meant nothing to them. I had to point out that I clearly had all of that and that the recall was serious. Eventually they gave me a gift card refunding the purchase price of the 4 pack even though I only returned one carton as I had drank the other three before getting the notification that the product was under recall.
