Drive-Thru Drink Dilemma - McDonald's, Scottsdale Arizona

My wife and I went to this McDonalds on 4/22, at 6:15pm. We ordered a quarter pounder w/ cheese, McDouble plain w/ no cheese, large Coke, and 2 large fries. I ate the quarter pounder, a fry, and had some of the Coke. My wife ate the McDouble, a fry, and drank the Coke. While in the drive thru, we received a medium Coke instead of a large. We gave it back to the employee, at which point my wife saw the employee take a sip out of the cup that we gave him. We did not see what he did with the drink after that. On 4/23 at 3am, I woke up with a stomachache. I had pain until 4am, which is when I began vomiting. I vomited once every half hour to an hour up until 8am, when I was able to speak with a doctor on MDLive. She diagnosed me with food poisoning and gave me a prescription for Zofran, which ended the vomiting. My wife also received the food poisoning and had a horrible stomachache all day. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain
