Greater, London, NW9 9HN England, United Kingdom
I am writing to formally raise a legal complaint regarding a serious food poisoning incident that occurred after my family and I dined at Nando’s Kingsbury on 16th March 2025.There were 16 members in our group, including 9 children and 8 adults. We arrived at the restaurant at approximately 5:00 PM for a family meal. Shortly after consuming the chicken served by Nando’s, my 3-year-old child began experiencing severe vomiting. As we left the restaurant, all 9 children suffered from uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea, to the extent that they struggled to breathe. They were subsequently rushed to various hospitals, admitted overnight, and are still receiving medical treatment, including IV fluids, anti-sickness medication, and other necessary care.
Additionally, all 8 adults, including myself, have been suffering from severe nausea, vomiting, and stomach cramps. I am currently hospitalised along with my two children, and my entire family remains in distress.
Given the severity of this incident and the direct impact on our health, I am requesting:
1. A full investigation into the food safety and hygiene practices at Nando’s Kingsbury on 16th March 2025.
2. Access to the restaurant’s food safety records, including ingredient sources, storage, and handling procedures.
3. Compensation for medical expenses, emotional distress, and other damages suffered by my family due to this incident.
4. A formal response outlining the steps Nando’s will take to address this serious matter and prevent similar occurrences.
Should this matter not be addressed promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate my complaint to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), Environmental Health, and pursue legal action to seek further redress.
Please treat this complaint as urgent and respond within 7 days from the date of thi message.
I expect a formal acknowledgment and a detailed response regarding the next steps.
. Severe Food Poisoning at Nando’s Kingsbury – 15 People Hospitalised, Including Children
On March 16, 2025, at around 5 PM, 15 members of our family, including children, dined at Nando’s Kingsbury. Shortly after eating, several children began experiencing severe vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps. By the time we left the restaurant, all 9 children were uncontrollably sick, struggling to breathe, and had to be rushed to different hospitals. They were admitted overnight and are still receiving IV fluids, anti-sickness medication, and other treatments.
The 8 adults in our group, including myself, are also suffering from severe nausea, vomiting, and stomach cramps. This has been an absolutely horrific experience, and we are deeply concerned for our children’s health.
We urge Nando’s Kingsbury to take immediate responsibility and conduct a full investigation into this serious case of food poisoning. No one should have to go through this after a simple meal out. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Fever, Cramps, Chills, Headache
