I used two jars of Newman's Own Organic spaghetti sauce it was the olive oil basil and basil garlic in glass jars. There was an inch long piece of thick black rubber in one of the jars. It resembles gasket material. Very scary!It was a rather large piece of black rubber. My son is the one who had it in his portion of spaghetti.
