Plastic Found in Chips - Ny 5 grocery, Philadelphia Pennsylvania

5 months ago reported by user-qfyg6778 business

Ny 5 grocery, 201 South 52nd Street, Philadelphia, PA, USA

I bought a couple bags of small Herrs Sour Cream and onion chips and my mom ate part of a bag of the chips and she bit down on something very hard, clear and she said either like a hard plastic or something else but once she realized it she took what was left of it into her hand and felt how hard it was and saw the color was clear like plastic and then she spit the rest of what was in her mouth into the bag and put the clear thing in the bag too. She said when she chewed on the chips it was very small peices and she didnt notice it so maybe it was inside of the chip. Once she started to chew the chip up, that is when she bit down on multiple hard peices of something. She had to rinse her mouth out several times to fully get rid of it, after she picked parts of it out of her teeth, then she rinsed and brushed her teeth in case any fragments lingered. If there is hard plastic in some of the smaller 28 g bags of chips then this batch should be recalled and immediately taken off the shelf. Who knows what that was and what negative health affects would come from anyone consuming them as well as potentially broken or chipped teeth or anything else that can happen.
