OBAO Midtown, 222 E 53rd St, New York, NY 10022, USA

Had lunch at 1:15pm on 7/30/2025. Ate fried rice with tofu and scallions, drank water and Diet Coke with meal. Diarrhea and nausea began same day, about 3pm, misery magnified by being in the middle of taking NJTransit back home to NJ. Weakness and dizziness at 4:30pm, resulting in a fall while trying to walk to my car after exiting the train. Vomiting occurred around 5pm, after arriving home. Situation ongoing. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Weakness, Dizziness

Thanks for sharing, definitely a place I’ll be avoiding for now. This sounds a lot like Bacillus cereus, sometimes called ‘fried rice syndrome.’ I hope you’re feeling much better now!
