After eating spoiled fried rice, you can experience "fried rice syndrome." Bacillus cereus is a toxin-producing bacteria that's a common cause of food poisoning. This can cause nausea and vomiting symptoms that might be experienced almost immediately after consumption. This usually lasts less than 12 hours for mild cases.

I bought a Chinese food platter with sesame chicken and fried rice from the refrigerated deli section. I heated it up at home and consumed it. The next day I had violent diarrhea for an extended amount of time over the course of 3 or so hours.
