Yesterday, December 19, 2024, I had a handmade sandwich from Publix. About two hours later, I became ill with acute stomach pains, vomiting, chills, and a fever. A couple of hours after that, the diarrhea set in. It was all thanks to that sandwich. Either the Boar's Head turkey was contaminated, or the sandwich handler didn’t properly clean her hands. There are plenty of possibilities: the meat might not have been stored correctly, or it could have been left unattended for too long. When I spoke to the manager, she seemed aware of the situation but was completely nonchalant and dismissive about it, which was deeply disappointing. I feel compelled to report this to the county health department and hope that the health inspector from Vero Beach can investigate this Publix location thoroughly. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Fever, Chills
