I left the Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun and all I can say is I will never go back. After spending so much on this vacation I got servely sick on Sunday, July20th and admitted in the hospital Monday, July 21st Couldnt stop vomiting and diarrhea and bed Dyhedration to the point of blacking out. The Medic came to my room and advised my boyfriend to take me urgently to the ER because i was not in good shape and needed hospital care immediately. At this time the doctor did mention that the hospital does take out insurance and we had nothing to worry about. I incurred $2,500 of expenses while I was admitted into the hospital. After extensive testing the doctors at the hospital said that I contracted a really bad abacterial infection E.Coli from food at the resort most lately for some seafood i ate. After hours at the hospital on all different types of meds we were discharged with a bunch of antibiotics and pain meds to take. When we returned to the resort we spoke with the guest services staff who had no care in the world other than asking what food restriction i had and would take responsibility for anything that the doctors stated was from something at the resort and basically avoid every conversation we wanted to have with them to express our concern about the hospital test results.
I am writing this because Royalton should be responsible for making things right!!!
I am not happy with the vacation that we had and with all the money spent I was sick more than enjoying the vacation. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Fever, Chills
