Severe Illness Post-Korean Burger - Shake Shack, Tucson Arizona

2 weeks ago reported by user-ttrg1535 business

Shake Shack Casas Adobes Plaza, West Ina Road, Tucson, AZ, USA

633 West Ina Road, Tucson, 85704 Arizona, United States

My husband brought us home shake shack on Wednesday April 1st, 2026. We were very excited to try as it’s a new restaurant on our side of town. He ordered a Korean burger for himself and a chicken sandwich for me. After eating my food I immediately felt sick and before you know it, I was on my death bed. I vomited 16 times. I was coming in and out of consciousness due to dehydration. I was incapacitated and had to have my husband come home from work to take care of our one year old. He tried to get me to go to the emergency room but I was on the floor of the bathroom from 4 pm until 10:00. At this point I was still puking and he insisted we go to the emergency room. Being that I am uninsured I really was trying to avoid it at all costs. We ended up just sitting in the parking lot while I slept for another two hours. Worst food poisoning case of my entire life. That place is beyond dangerous. I have been in the F&B industry for ten years and I can only assume it’s due to the lack of education of the employees with proper food handling procedures. I felt like I could’ve died and that is no exaggeration.
