Leftover Rice, Cake Illness - Smith's Food and Drug, Heber City Utah

1 year ago reported by user-rcvnh384 business

Smith's, North Main Street, Heber City, UT, USA

550 North Main Street, Heber City, 84032 Utah, United States

Suspected food poisoning. Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Fever, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills, other: Sore muscles
Suspected source: Leftover rice, nps carrots, Smith's chocolate cake.
Onset: Less than 4 hours
Duration: 12 to 24 hours
Sick: Me
Additional information: I suspect it was their molton lava chocolate cake, but may be something else. It started a couple hours after dinner. I had rice (leftovers maybe a week old) spam, carrots from the nps store in SLC, and a gross chocolate cake from the local Smith's. Then, yeah I started vomiting and diarrhea after taking a nap. Throwing up the cake was the worst since it tasted the same coming up that it did going down. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Fever, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills

If you’re eating rice that’s nearly a week old, that’s probably why you feel like you do. Most leftovers are only good for 2/3 days max if refrigerated and kept properly.
