Club Sub Causes Hospitalization - Subway, Winnipeg Manitoba

6 years ago reported by user-wzrfq882 business

Subway, Ness Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, Canada

2389 Ness Avenue, Winnipeg, R3J 1A5 Manitoba, Canada

My partner picked me up a club of day last Saturday the 22nd for my lunch break at work, this was at approx 1100. I had a 6inch sub which I believe was the deli meats, the meats looked grey and I couldn’t finish the sandwich as it tasted “off” but finished the majority of it. Later that night I had a hot tub which I believe accelerated the process, the next day after not eating dinner the previous night or breakfast that morning I had an episode of diarrhoea at work, throughout the day I became tachycardic and hypotensive with feverish symptoms, I had to be picked up from work due to inability to drive. By Tuesday I was so dehydrated I could no longer walk I hadn’t eaten or been able to drink much and was hospitalized until the Wednesday. I am still symptomatic with severe cramps and diarrhoea nine days later. My stool sample was tested and returned stating I had a type of food poisoning called campylobacter. I was a severe case and am still suffering. Had I have eaten a 12inch sub I genuinely feel I could have died. That is the only food that I ate that could have given me food poisoning, prior to this my diet consisted of bland vegetarian clean food made at home. I can no longer eat meat as the psychological effects this has had on me have been profound and I have also lost my job as this was my first week and I had called in sick. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Other, Cramps, Dehydration, Fever
