Tuna Sub Causes Distress - Subway, Thousand Oaks California

9 years ago reported by user-zdrtr173

Subway, Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Thousand Oaks, CA, United States

1610 Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Thousand Oaks, 91360 California, United States

On 4/27/16 at 8:30pm, I ate a 6" tuna on 9 grain bread with lettuce, tomatoes, and mayonnaise. I woke up in the middle of the night with horrible gas pains, nausea, sweats, chills. The pain was so bad, I thought I was going to pass out. After about an hour or so of agony, I had diarrhea. I continued to have episodes and noticed blood, bright red and mucus. The following day, I didn't have much to excrete, but was incontinent of the mucus-blood twice with small amounts. I called my doctor and they gave me a stool testing kit. I continued with nausea, bloating, gas continuously since then, but no bowel movement for 5 days (until today). I turned in my sample to the lab, and it has come back negative for the 22 most common culprits for food poisoning. I now have symptoms more consistent with the first night, only slightly milder. I've left a message with the doctor. I am an RN and will follow this up until I have peace of mind. Filed a complaint with the department of health of Los Angeles County, which means they will have someone come and inspect. Still have bloody stool, bloating, gas, nausea, headache, increased blood pressure and fatigue. Advocate for our collective health! Subway should not be able to get away with endangering people this way! | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Gas, Headache, Fatigue, Bloating, Bloody Stool, Chills, Mucus in Stools, Sweating
