Campylobacter Outbreak from Sushi - The Clam House Bar & Grill, Palmetto Florida

1 year ago reported by user-mymm3339 business

The Clam House Bar & Grill, 7th Street West, Palmetto, FL, USA

304 7th Street West, Palmetto, 34221 Florida, United States

On Friday August 30th my friend & I went to eat there. We both had a "Bloody Mary" tasted a little different than usual but I drank maybe half and so did my friend, neither of us finished the drink. I ate the "volcano roll" sushi, my friend had mahi-mahi. Both meals tasted good. About 2 hours later I started feeling bloated, nauseated. I tried to just fall asleep. I woke running to the bathroom with violent vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps. This lasted the entire week-end. I just stayed in bed. My friend had only diarrhea that nite otherwise no other symptoms. I could not eat or keep even fluids down the entire week-end. I remained hydrated with ice chips. My symptoms were off and on for 14 days with 1 episode after at day 16. I feel I am over it now. I lost 8 lbs. in 14 days!! The symptoms were endless!! The health department called me because I had campylobacter in my stool. They suggested I fill out this form. I would like the restaurant inspected so that no one else will become ill. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills, Diarrhea, Bloating
