Bistro St. Michael, South Montezuma Street, Prescott, AZ, USA

Report Type: Food Poisoning
Symptoms: Diarrhea Fever Nausea Vomiting
“My husband and I ate two breakfasts and two dinners during our hotel stay there July 25-26, 2019. Both of us ended up in the hospital yesterday, July 27, with fever, diarrhea , vomiting and nausea. The first night, I had the ceviche and my husband had a flatbread appetizer,... See More but neither of us shared this food due to his shellfish allergy. The following morning, we had the breakfast choice that comes with the hotel stay. We chose egg whites instead of the eggs over easy. We also had bacon, fruit and toast. Our toasts were not the same. That evening, we had hummus with veggies and pitas bread and the soy ginger chicken lettuce wraps. We each had a bloody Mary. We shared the meals. I had a small bout of diarrhea that night, but it passed. The following day, Friday the 26th, we ate breakfast there again. This time we ordered the eggs over easy for my husband and over medium for me because the egg whites had been really bland and unpleasant the day before. We had the bacon again and the fruit choice. I had rye bread and he had sourdough. We didn't share any of the breakfast. What sent up a little red flag to me was how fast the breakfast came out. The eggs were room temperature and it made me a little concerned, but I ate them anyway. I got the feeling the breakfast items had been precooked and had been under a heat lamp too long. We also consumed the free ice they hand out at the reception desk. I cant be 100% sure it was this restaurant, but we ate at only one other place in Prescott. We came home to Gilbert and at 10 PM, Friday the 26th, I got a very bad headache. Followed by nausea at 1PM. At which time, I began throwing up and had uncontrollable diarrhea for a couple of hours. I was on the floor of the bathroom and my husband, who was still fine at that time, had to clean things up. At 5 AM, he began vomiting. He has a compromised system due to brain cancer, so he had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. I also had to go to the hospital by ambulance because I was too sick to drive on my own. I had a fever that spiked to 102 and has returned to normal with occasional low grade elevation to 100. My husband became quickly dehydrated and was delirious in the ER. He had to spend the night because he was so dehydrated. He received steroids. He was released this afternoon, Sunday, July 28. I too was given IV fluids and anti nausea medications. we are both home and on bed rest. Headache still here and acid reflux with occasional diarrhea.

Report Type: Food Poisoning
Symptoms: Nausea
“Ate there. Was served chicken legs bleeding from the inside. Friends chicken leg was bleeding red and he had to stop eating. After feeling like I made it through I just started nausea pangs. I dont know if it was from meal But given that I don't eat chicken w... See More uncooked portions as a rule, I have to wonder if the chicken caused it. I stopped eating when I saw blood But already had eaten some. when I addressed it, the cook said he cooks at proper temp defending it!!. I told him again it was bloody and he can look at the plate to know it wasn't cooked right, whatever temp he used (165 he said). I also noticed one of the cooks had a long scraggly unkempt beard and no hair net, who stepped up to defend the chicken. Gross. I hoped this would be a new happy hour option but even the bloody Mary drink my friend ordered had the effervecense of the inside of an old shoe smell and he didn't finish the drink. Which Is unusual for him... given lax hygiene w hair net and unapologetic regard for complaint about bleeding chicken, so gross....

“We had a great time at this fabulous ski resort, but we think that maybe their bloody Mary mix gave us food poisoning.
We skied all morning with our kids and then stopped in their upper lodge for a late afternoon drink. The kids had beers, my husband had a... See More bloody beer and I had a bloody Mary. Report Type: Food Poisoning
Symptoms: Diarrhea Fever Nausea Vomiting
“My fiancé and I had an early dinner at the restaurant. We ate boneless wings, carrots, celery, ranch and blue cheese dressing, as well as fried shrimp. I had one Bloody Mary. A few hours later my stomach was upset. I tried to get to sleep but woke up with... See More a diarrhea, vomiting, and sharp pains in my stomach. I couldn't keep anything down for hours and then became so dehydrated that I fainted two times at home and once on the way to the ER. I have never been this sick or been to the ER so it was a scary experience. I was given iv fluids and pain meds until I was stable enough to go home. It's been a couple of days and I'm still not feeling 100%. I can't believe this happened to me and that restaurants serve this kind of food. Hopefully it doesn't happen to others.
