Got Halal Guys on a visit to NYC. My partner got a combo gyro platter, and I got the hummus and pita. He was fine, but within 4 hours of eating the hummus I was extremely ill (like spent the entire night in the bathroom from midnight to 6 am vomiting). I think it’s because less people order the hummus, so it was probably just sitting out there as opposed to being made as fresh as the more commonly ordered items. Lesson learned! | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Fever, Cramps, Chills, Headache

I ate halal guys on 3/27/25 at 4pm at west 53rd street & had chicken rice & salad with white sauce. By 5am I was vomiting and diarrhea for 4 hours. This is day 2 and I’m still very weak with no appetite. I’ve eaten there many times before and will no longer be eating from them or any street venders.
