Onset: 4 to 12 hours
Duration: Several days
Sick: 2 people
Additional information: Hi. Me and my partner ordered two sandwiches from Wendy's yesterday. It has lettuce and tomatoes on both. My partner does not like tomatoes or lettuce so he passed them onto me and I stuck them on my sandwich and ate his and mine on one sandwich. Last night I had discomfort and cramps in my stomach, and had liquid come out my butt. This morning, I had violence coming out of both ends, with severe cramping. This is not the first time this has happened, as the first time a few months back I brushed it off as a virus. Same symptoms then compared to now. I have no cold or flu going on right now. This illness for me was extremely sudden. I even tested for COVID yesterday and it's negative. I believe I have food poisoning from this establishment. What can I do? My partner has very mild symptoms, as he is very particular about tastes and scraped the mayo off his burger as well that touched the lettuce and tomatoes. Christmas is in a few days, I'm expected to cook, and my partner has a job interview today. I'm very distraught. If they had got our order right, my partner would at least be completely fine, and maybe I wouldn't have had it worse off than I do right now. The staff needs to please thoroughly wash the lettuce and do QA on their ingredients to prevent this from continually happening. I'm sure I'm not the only one. They also did not provide any receipt either, so unfortunately I cannot show what time I got this, it was around noon when this happened. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Headache
