finished our meal in about 45 minutes, returned to hotel 5 minutes away, and within 15 minutes I began to feel numb and tingly. My sister said I appeared drunk, my speech became slurred, I was weating profusely. She went into the bathroom, felt a little ill herself, had mild diarrhea, got a damp washcloth for me,when she returned, she said my eyes had rolled back, side of face drooping, had vomited and was choking. She rolled me on my side, I was able to clear vomit. By this time I could not stand or even lift my arms or head. I was conscious but hallucinating-bright lights, sounds. Speech slurred. I insisted she not call EMS, in my altered state I believed I was drunk. I did realise, however, I was very sick, and asked her to time and record my discomfort on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being how I felt before dining, and 3 being how I felt at that time. I had felt "1" a few minutes before, and told her to call EMS IF I got to 2 again or could not respond. My discomfort, strange sensations, came in waves, over 3 hours, all the while being paralyzed, But finally felt I was well enough to sleep. I w
Awoke at 8, was able to weakly get to the bathroom, began to feel well enough to attend the funeral we had come to town for. I was not able to drive, very dizzy all day. Reported to Cook County Health Dept Aug 7th. Woman taking report was hard to understand, asked same queations repeatedly. Left a message on Hapton Company's parent company website.Still feeling residual weakness 5 days later.
