Northside Independent School District (NISD) is investigating an incident at Vale Middle School in San Antonio, where 11 students reported feeling unwell after consuming expired milk. The milk, supplied by Oak Farms Dairy, was past its expiration date, according to a district spokesperson.The affected students were evaluated by the campus nurse on Wednesday, and no additional illnesses have been reported. The district confirmed that the expired milk was limited to Vale Middle School. NISD's Child Nutrition Department has initiated an investigation and is coordinating with the Health Department as per established protocols.
The issue came to light when students began feeling unwell after consuming the milk. The district's immediate response involved assessing the students' health and identifying the source of the problem.
