Truffle Pasta Food Poisoning

Truffle pasta could be a source of food poisoning. In 2015, 159 individuals in D.C. reported gastrointestinal illness after eating a meal with contaminated truffle oil. The oil was contaminated with Salmonella. A Salmonella infection often occurs 12-72 hours after consumption, and is associated with stomach cramps and diarrhea.
