Date Closed: 01/28/2020Cockroach and rodent infestation. The inspector visited in response to a complaint that someone found a roach in their shrimp fried rice. The inspector saw one live roach carrying an egg casing on the floor by cooking equipment. There was also a dead roach floating in water in the rim of the lid to the steam table that holds fried rice, two dead roaches on clean plates and numerous others on the shelving used to hold plates. Additionally, there were new and old rodent droppings on a counter and shelving near the salad bar, on the counter under the pie case, near food and equipment in a storage room and along a wall behind cooking equipment. This was the third complaint in six months about roaches at this restaurant; the previous two times, inspectors found no evidence of vermin.
