Hi - thanks for your comment. Actually, there are some pathogens in which the onset of symptoms is not immediate and can show up later. In this particular case, Campylobacter, usually starts 2 to 5 days after the person ingests the contaminated food and lasts about one week under regular conditions, but if the user needed a trip to the ER that means their case got more complicated which means their case is plausible.
