Our family had a late dinner at approximately 9:00 p.m. at the STK Steakhouse Niagara Falls location. Shortly after the meal, I began experiencing severe abdominal pain and had to stop at a Wendy’s location in St. Catharines around midnight due to repeated episodes of diarrhea. Upon our arrival in Toronto, both my son and my husband also began experiencing multiple episodes of diarrhea.I contacted the restaurant at approximately 2:00 a.m. to report the suspected food‑related illness. I was advised that someone would follow up within 48 hours. After two days without a response, I called again and was told that someone would contact me shortly. After an additional day, a manager returned my call and collected details regarding the incident.
Approximately 24 hours later, the same manager contacted me again and advised that, based on their internal review, all records and logs were in good order. As a gesture of goodwill, the restaurant offered a discount on my bill.
As patrons of the restaurant, we are seeking a clear explanation as to why three members of our family became ill shortly after dining at this location. The response provided by the manager was disappointing and unconvincing, particularly given that the internal review occurred more than a week after the incident. There is concern that records and evidence may have been compiled after the fact.
Given these circumstances, I strongly recommend that this establishment be subject to more frequent inspections. If improper food handling practices are present, it is likely that such behaviors will continue unless addressed through corrective action or staffing changes. | 症状: 腹泻, 胃痛
