Burrata Cheeserecalled due to Salmonella Contamination

Gioia Cheese Company has issued a recall for its Burrata cheese due to potential Salmonella contamination. The affected product was distributed across multiple states in the United States, including California.

The recalled product is:
- Burrata cheese
- Under the Gioia Cheese Co. brand
- Sold in four-ounce (4 oz) and one-pound (16 oz) plastic tubs.
- It was available for purchase at retail locations on or before August 1, 2025.
- The packages do not have lot codes or "Best if Used By" dates.

The issue was identified during routine testing. The recall was initiated on August 6, 2025.
