Update June 18th, 2026::Clover Hill Dairy of Mechanicsville, Maryland is expanding its recall to include all Clover Hill Dairy brand cheese products due to the potential for contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. To date, there have been 9 illnesses, 8 hospitalizations, and 1 death linked to the soft cheese products.
All Clover Hill Dairy brand cheeses currently on the market are included in this recall.

Update June 9th, 2026:
Clover Hill Dairy has expanded its recall information for Soft Ricotta/Requeson cheese potentially contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The company stated that the recalled products were distributed between May 4 and May 30, 2026, in Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, New York, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
In addition to Clover Hill Dairy-branded products, the recalled cheese may have been repackaged and sold under other brand names, including KESSO, QUESOS LA RICURA, IZALCO, DE MI PUEBLO, and RIO LINDO. The recall includes retail clamshell containers (10 oz., 12 oz., and 14 oz.) as well as bulk 2-gallon and 5-gallon containers.
According to the company, eight cases of Listeria infection may be linked to the recalled cheese. Clover Hill Dairy has ceased production and distribution of all cheese products while the investigation continues.

Clover Hill Dairy has issued a voluntary recall of its requesón/soft ricotta cheese products due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. These products were sold at the company's retail market, farmers markets, and through distributors in New York and Virginia in USA.

The recall was initiated after the potential contamination was discovered. The Maryland Department of Health has suspended Clover Hill Dairy's operating license and is conducting a follow-up evaluation. The recall was announced on June 3, 2026.
