The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) and the Mental Health Support Association "La Passerelle", located at 198 Perron Boulevard East, in New Richmond, have issued a recall for Organic Garlic Floret Pesto due to potential Clostridium botulinum contamination. The product was sold at the New Richmond Public Market in Quebec.The recalled product is:
- Organic Garlic Floret Pesto
- Packaged in a glass jar with a metal lid
- Sold refrigerated.
- It includes units sold until August 9, 2025.
- The recall affects all unitary batches. The risk classification is Class I.
- The product was offered for sale at the New Richmond Public Market.
The issue was discovered as a precautionary measure, and no illnesses have been reported. The recall was initiated on August 21, 2025.
