These products, distributed to retailers such as smoke shops and sold online, according to The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) may cause severe illness, hospitalization, or even death.Testing showed that TRE House products contained a substance similar to psilocin, which is classified by the DEA as a Schedule I drug. Every product tested included 4-Acetoxy-DET (4-Acetoxy-N, N-diethyltryptamine), and many also had 4-Acetoxy-DMT (4-Acetoxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine). These compounds are illegal psychedelic substances.
