Meat Products with Seasoning Mix - Health Alert due to allergens and misbranding

The FSIS is issuing a public health alert for various ready-to-eat (RTE) meat products containing a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated seasoning mix that has been recalled by the producer, PS Seasoning, due to concerns that the seasoning mix may contain undeclared wheat. This situation is currently evolving, which means additional products may be added.

The products subject to the public health alert are:
8-oz. cryovac packages of “SMOKEHOUSE HONEY BBQ FLAVORED MEAT SNACK STICKS” with dates of “Aug 23, 2022”, or “Sept 7, 2022”.

2-oz. cryovac packages of “SMOKEHOUSE HONEY BBQ FLAVORED MEAT SNACK STICKS” with dates of “Aug 10, 2022”, “Aug 17, 2022”, “Sept 7, 2022” or “Sept 15, 2022”.

8-oz. packages of “LeRoy Meats & Catering SWEET N SASSY SNACK STICKS” with dates of 12/06/22, 12/07/22 or 01/03/23.

8-oz. packages of “LeRoy Meats & Catering HONEY BBQ SNACK STICKS” with dates of 12/07/22 or
01/03/23.

Various weights of “HONEY BBQ BEEF JERKY” sold directly to consumers in generic bags from the fresh case from December 13, 2021, through February 18, 2022.

Various weights of “HBBQ WITH CHEESE” sold directly to consumers in generic bags from the fresh case from December 13, 2021, through February 18, 2022.

Various weights of “HBBQ STICKS” sold directly to consumers in generic bags from the fresh case from December 13, 2021, through February 18, 2022.

4.0-oz. plastic packaged “WYOMING AUTHENTIC HONEY BBQ SEASONED ANGUS BEEF BITES” with “BEST BY: JAN-14-23” and “Lot #” 22014210 or 22014110.

1.0-oz. plastic packaged “WYOMING AUTHENTIC HONEY BBQ SEASONED ANGUS BEEF STICK” with “BEST BY 01 14 23” and “Lot” 22014210 or 22014110.

The products are from various establishments and bear establishment number “EST. 44972”, “EST. 46312”, or “EST. 44869” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The retail products from “EST. M-47484” do not bear a USDA mark of inspection. Some of the products were distributed nationwide.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an illness should contact a health care provider.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
