Remembrance Farm Raw Milk - Consumer alert due to Listeria

The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets has warned consumers not to consume unpasteurized raw milk from Nathaniel Thompson, doing business as (DBA) Remembrance Farm located at 6294 Searsburg Road, Trumansburg in Tompkins County, due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. To date, no linked illnesses have been reported.The contamination was discovered through routine sampling by Department inspectors. The producer was notified of a preliminary positive test result on August 11, 2023, with further testing confirming the presence of Listeria Monocytogenes on August 15, 2023. Sales of Remembrance Farm's raw milk are now halted until further testing confirms product safety.
The Department recommends that any consumers who purchased raw milk from Nathaniel Thompson DBA Remembrance Farm immediately dispose of it.
