ShopRite Bowl & Basket Chicken Noodle Soup - Public Health Alert due to Allergen

The FSIS has issued a public health alert for fresh, fully cooked, ready-to-eat (RTE) ShopRite Bowl & Basket Chicken Noodle Soup due to misbranding and undeclared allergens. The product may actually contain Italian-style wedding soup, which includes milk. This product was distributed to retail stores in New Jersey and New York. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of this product. A recall was not requested because the products are no longer available for purchase.The affected product is a 20-oz. plastic cup labeled "A SHOPRITE BRAND bowl & basket CHICKEN NOODLE soup" with a use by date of "09/23/23.". The product contains the establishment number "EST. P-18468" inside the USDA mark of inspection and was produced on August 8, 2023
Discovery of the issue occurred when a retail store employee discovered soups labeled as chicken noodle and Italian-style wedding soup in the same shipping box.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers' refrigerators. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them.
