Quality Poultry & Seafood, Inc., based in Biloxi, Mississippi, is recalling approximately 98,916 pounds of catfish fillet products. The recall is due to the products being produced without federal inspection. These items were distributed to restaurants and retail locations in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana in the United States.AFFECTED PRODUCTS:
1) PRODUCT: Varied Catfish Miscut Fillets
- Packaging: Translucent plastic bag
- Size/Pieces: Net Wt. 5 lb
- Labeled “VARIED CATFISH MISCUT FILLETS, FARMED RAISED CATFISH PRODUCT OF USA”
2) PRODUCT: Varied Catfish Miscut Fillets
- Packaging: Cardboard box containing three translucent plastic bags
- Size/Pieces: Net Wt. 15 lb (total)
- Labeled “VARIED CATFISH MISCUT FILLETS, FARMED RAISED CATFISH PRODUCT OF USA”
3) PRODUCT: Irregular Catfish Shank Fillet
- Packaging: Translucent plastic bag
- Size/Pieces: Net Wt. 5 lb
- Labeled “IRREGULAR CATFISH SHANK FILLET, FARMED RAISED CATFISH PRODUCT OF USA”
4) PRODUCT: Irregular Catfish Random Fillet
- Packaging: Translucent plastic bag
- Size/Pieces: Net Wt. 5 lb

They were produced between September 2, 2024, and September 5, 2025.
The issue was identified when the company informed the FSIS of its production activities, leading to the discovery of the lack of inspection. The recall was initiated on September 15, 2025.
