“I purchased chicken from Antillana SuperFood Marketplace on Jerome Ave on Saturday, May 2, 2026. After bringing the chicken home, I properly cleaned, seasoned, and fully cooked it for dinner for myself and my children. Within hours of eating the food, we all began experiencing severe symptoms including stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, and fever. The symptoms became serious enough that we had to seek emergency medical treatment at the ER. The doctors informed us that our symptoms were consistent with food poisoning/suspected salmonella exposure. This situation caused significant pain, distress, dehydration, and disruption for both me and my children, especially while caring for sick children at the same time. I am submitting this report so the business and health officials are aware and can investigate the source of the contamination to prevent this from happening to other families.” | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever, Chills, Dehydration, Weakness, Stomach Pain
