My Wife, daughter and I had dinner at the Chik-fil-A in Long Beach located at 4401 E Pacific Coast Hwy, Long Beach, CA 90804 on Thursday 04/02/2026. I ordered the new sandwich they have on the menu, "Jalapeño ranch club" with the original breaded chicken option. The next day which would be Friday 04/03/2026 I awoke to slight body aches and moderately woozy from my head. I didn't think to much of it as I had a busy day ahead of me. As the day progressed I began to worsen with a fever and body pains that worsened. I had no appetite all day and had not consumed anything since this Chik-fil-A dinner aside from drinking water. At the end of the day, I had called my wife to inform her that I was feeling ill and continued driving home. I was completely laid out at home fever, body aches and stomach pain throughout the night. I was sweating so immensely my shirt and shorts were soaked in sweat when I awoke Saturday 04/04/2026. Diarrhea, fever, chills, body aches, sharp stomach pain, and a pounding headache is what my entire Saturday consisted of until I could no longer take the ravaging my body was going through and told my wife, "I seriously need medical help." My mouth and lips were so dry even though a drank what I could as far as water but couldn't do too much of even that as the stomach pain from drinking water was so intense. I was admitted at the hospital placed on an IV and had a CT scan with contrast, blood test, urinalysis amongst other tests done. I was discharged sometime around 3am on Easter Sunday. According to the lab results I have salmonella bacteria with inflammation in certain parts of my body from the bacteria infection. As of today, 04/06/2026 I am still dealing with sharp stomach pain, a throbbing headache and fever. This has been an extremely painful and grueling experience. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Stomach Pain, Fever, Cramps, Chills, Headache, Sweating, Body Ache
