Repeated Illness Post-CFA Meal - Chick-Fil-A, Knoxville Tennessee

1 day ago reported by user-wyfp8386 business

Chick-fil-A, 4944 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919, USA

4944 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, 37919 Tennessee, United States

The evening of February 5, 2026, I began feeling extremely ill very suddenly. Around 5:00 PM, I vomited unexpectedly while at my client's home. I left around 6:00 PM and became sick again approximately 15 minutes into the drive home. Throughout the evening and night, I vomited at least six times. I took Phenergan and Tylenol PM, but I was unable to sleep through the illness due to chills, body aches, weakness, etc... The episode was severe and exhausting. At approximately 11:00 AM the following morning, I was finally able to eat a small amount of crackers and keep them down. I continued to feel shaky, weak, and sore from repeated vomiting, but symptoms were slowly improving. This event raised concern due to a similar illness experienced by my daughter approximately two weeks earlier, following food from the same restaurant. Event 1: Daughter's Illness Date of purchase: January 27, 2026 Time of purchase: 11:16 AM Restaurant: Chick-fil-A, Homberg Drive, Knoxville, TN Food purchased included two chicken sandwiches, waffle fries, and a Diet Dr Pepper. Both my daughter and I ate sandwiches from this order. I did not become ill. After purchase, my daughter's sandwich was placed in the refrigerator and stored until approximately 8:00 PM. At that time, the sandwich was reheated and eaten. At approximately 1:00 AM on January 28, 2026—around five hours after eating—my daughter woke up violently ill with sudden and severe vomiting. Event 2: My Illness Date of purchase: February 5, 2026 Time of purchase: 11:18 AM Restaurant: Same Chick-fil-A location Food purchased included an 8-count nugget meal, waffle fries, and a Diet Dr Pepper. I was the only person who ate this meal. At approximately 5:00 PM—about five to six hours after eating—I experienced sudden nausea and began vomiting while at my client's home. I left around 6:00 PM and vomited again shortly after beginning my drive. Throughout the evening and overnight, I vomited at least six times. Medication provided limited relief, and I was unable to sleep through the illness. Recovery On the morning of February 6, 2026, I was able to tolerate small amounts of crackers for the first time. Residual symptoms included weakness, shakiness, and muscle soreness, consistent with recovery after repeated vomiting. I am not accusing CFA of anything, just simply noticed a pattern and wanted to submit a report just in case. The night my daughter was sick I took care of her and was in close proximity but did not experience any of her symptoms until two weeks later after eating at the same restaurant. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Stomach Pain, Cramps, Chills, Headache, Weakness, Body Ache, Soreness
